Will my dog listen to me after training?

Absolutely, after all that IS the reason you wanted to train your dog in the first place, right? All of our board and train programs come with a turn-over dog training session; which is scheduled on the day that you come to pick up your dog. Our turn-over session generally last between 1-3 hours. The turn over is where you learn everything that your dog has just learned. That way you get the hands on training experience with your dog. It’s a great way to begin on the right path and the fresh start that you need with your dog in order to change the dynamic.

Will you train me the same way you trained my dog with?

Most definitely. On the day of turn-over you will spend between 1-3 hours with your dog trainer that way you will learn everything your dog has learned. We spend tons of time going over different training exercise, walks, off leash training, hands on training, and training you how to properly use your dog’s training equipment along with understanding the psychology behind the actual training. We want to make sure you fully understand everything your dog has learned; which is why our turn overs are so important.

What training equipment is included when our dog comes home and will we need to buy anything?

No, you will not have to purchase any training equipment once your dog has successfully completed our dog training camp. All of our training equipment is included – that way everything stays consistent once you get home. You may purchase additional items should you want to.

*Dog crates/kennels may be recommended for your dog; in which case you would need to purchase for when your dog returns home after training.

I see that Midway Dog Academy has referring dog trainers, what does that mean?

That just means that sometimes we’ll refer the leads we receive to another local dog trainer. Our referring dog trainers are not employed by Midway Dog Academy and each dog trainer owns their own separate business entity. Regardless of what trainer you talk to, work with, etc. we always recommend you due your due diligence and go and meet any dog trainer, speak to past clients, and ask all the questions you may have. Even with the referring trainers we use, it’s always best to do your research before you make any decision.
